Welcome to day three of Danielle and Scott’s St. Regis Princeville Resort Destination wedding blog-o-bration! If you missed the start of this four-day Hawaii wedding post, be sure to check out Danielle and Scott’s night out in Hanalei and wedding rehearsal as well as their Hanalei, Kaua’i engagement photos. After two days on the island, the day arrived for Danielle and Scott’s beautiful island wedding.
The wedding ceremony took place on the gorgeous Kamani Cove at the St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kaua’i, a beautiful outdoor tropical setting view a gorgeous view of Hanalei Bay and Makana mountain. Though it rained off and on throughout the day, the sun shone beautifully for the ceremony and the guests stayed dry : )
Two beautiful Kamani trees, adorned with strands of white orchids, their canopies like outstretched arms, framed the backdrop of the ceremony. Danielle and Scott included a couple of beautiful Hawaiian traditions in their ceremony; the bride’s approach was announced by the sounds of a conch shell horn, and during the ceremony the bride and groom shared a drink from a fresh coconut, being sure to moisten the ground with an offering of some of the water. Sigh, so lovely : )
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while being entertained by live Hawaiian music. The Hanalei Terrace of the St. Regis, up on the cliff, has a to-die-for view. You can see the waterfalls of Makana mountain far off … like I have said before, Paradise found! The guests made it off the patio just as a few more drops began to fall … perfect timing for everyone to head off to the reception villa poolside where an outdoor pavilion was draped to perfection with bright red, bold pinks and oranges. Check out the details … a-mazing! Orchids aplenty, fire and hula dancers and live musicians to entertain their guests. It was a great way to end such a lovely day.
Danielle and Scott: Thank you so much for letting us be part of your wedding and congratulations! May the rest of your years together be filled with endless bliss, love and happiness! And stay tuned for our final aloha … not only did Danielle and Scott ask us to capture their time spent with friends and family, but they asked us to roam the island to capture the beautiful scenery for them. Ahh, I love my job!!!
