Elizabeth and Curt’s rock ‘n roll inspired wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines was featured in Ceremony Magazine in San Diego. So excited!! We are always thrilled when one of our weddings is chosen to be featured in print : ) We really enjoyed working with Elizabeth and Curt. We photographed their Los Angeles engagement photos up in the Sunset Blvd. area … on a day when Ocho Cinqo was in Hollywood filming Dancing With The Start … we all caught a glimpse of him and his entourage coming around the corner. We always love celebrity sightings, and when Maurice is around there’s always sure to be one. He’s lucky like that : ) Thanks to Ceremony Magazine for printing this wedding! Totally honored!! xoxo
We were so thrilled when we learned that two of our weddings were going to be featured in Ceremony Magazine this year! You may recognize Danielle and Scott’s destination Hawaii wedding that was held at the beautiful St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kaua’i. We featured Danielle and Scott’s San Diego engagement photos and their destination wedding in four parts that you can check out here, here, here and here : )
As you probably know about us, we LOVE change!! We love evolving, creating and reinventing ourselves. We work hard continually year in and year out to create amazing artwork for our clients. We also love learning new things, employing new technology and constantly evolving as business owners and artists. After announcing the new name for our studio in mid December of 2010, we have been busy little bees. We are so excited to direct your attention to our new website and new look for our blog! Take a peek around and let us know what you think! xoxo
We are so excited that the lovely ladies over at the adorable Love Olio blog Swoon just featured some of our Valentine’s Day wedding inspiration photos. You will recognize the images of our adorable Betwixt bride Colleen, who modeled for our Anthropologie inspired Valentine’s Day shoot recently. So fun! xoxo
We have a complete and utter obsession with Anthropologie here at Betwixt Studio, so when we learned they were releasing a wedding gown line, we just knew we would, well, to quote our favorite style Maven, Rachel Zoe, DIE. Anthropologie did not disappoint. These gowns are so adorable, so detailed and lovely that I just wish I could get married again! To Maurice of course : )
To celebrate our love of all things Anthropologie, plus just because we want to capture a beautiful bride in one of these gowns, we are offering a FREE Wear It Again session with us to all 2011 Betwixt Brides who wear one of the BHLDN dresses : ) Help us spread the word!!
The first two are my absolute faves. I LOVE the unexpected color of the Zinnia Gown on the left. And the pleating on the Pleated Fantasy Gown at right is amazing. I love that on BHLDN’s website you can see a video of each gown, so that you can see how they move and better imagine what the gowns will look like on.
Okay, so these are also absolute faves. These are so whimsical and sweet. The black ribbon-bow-sash on the Tiered Tulip Gown at right is just delightful! And I admit to loving a short dress every now and then … well, anytime really … the Floral Artwork Dress at left is just a dream come true. And these are pretty sweet too. I love the bow on the front of the Sweeping Taffeta Ball Gown on the left, and who can resist the cascading butterflies on the Ethereal Monarch Gown at right. I also adore the hint of the under layer at the front of this gown. The vertical pattern contrasts so perfectly.
My grandmother might have worn the Pinwheel Tea Dress on the left. She would have looked so adorable in this. And well, I just love the detail on the Burnished Organza Gown at right. Sigh.
For the bohemian goddess in you, you’ll love the Eyelet Medley Sheath, it’s so San Diego destination beach wedding : ) And how perfectly sweet is the Fondant Tea Dress? I have to say, I LOVE them all! Each is so adorable and cute and has so many lovely details. It looks like there is something for everyone’s style.
Because we are so inspired by these gowns, and are just DYING to photograph them, we will provide a free Wear It Again Session to all 2011 brides who wears one on their wedding day!! Email us about it!! Just because : ) xoxo
Happy Valentine’s Day to all the lovebirds out there! Maurice and I are wishing you all an amazing day full of love and hope and many many kisses : ) To celebrate Valentine’s Day we wanted to share some LOVE-ly inspiration!! These images are featured today on the popular wedding blog, Style Unveiled. So fun!! How adorable is Colleen in her Christos gown from Del Mar wedding boutique, Bliss Bride? The sweet heart shaped rose flower pillows were lovingly created by Sharon Mintz, San Diego wedding florist, owner of Organic Elements. And Colleen’s hair and makeup was expertly applied by San Diego makeup and hair stylist Jennifer Bueno of Beauty to Be. We got our inspiration from Colleen’s Anthropologie inspired wedding at The Darlington House, and collaborated to create this sweet and whimsical collection of images just in time for the most romantic day of the year. We’d like to thank Heather, editor of Style Unveiled, for sharing our pictures with the world!
