kelly + alex | engagement photos

On another beautiful San Diego day, we met up with Kelly and Alex to take their engagement photos in and around town. Their engagement shoot was only taken a few weeks before their wedding due to Alex’s deployment, so it was good to see them again after our first meeting.

Kelly and Alex are East Coast transplants like Maurice and I and love San Diego as much as we do. They are college sweethearts that moved out to San Diego when Alex was transferred here. One of the things they are passionate about is sailing and to capture their love for sailing, we took pictures of them with their catamaran.  You can find Kelly and Alex cruising around the bay and other places around San Diego in their “Snot Rocket” (Yes, that’s the name of their catamaran) with their stunna shades on.

Stay tuned, the wedding photos are next!

rebecca + john | sunset cliffs engagement pictures

Maurice and I would definitely agree that one of the perks about living in “America’s Finest City” is getting to meet and work with all the great people who come to visit our fair city. Rebecca and John are a perfect example of that.

Hailing from Texas, Rebecca and John decided that they wanted to have a destination wedding in San Diego. They arrived right before their wedding and after speaking/emailing over the phone a couple of times, it was great to finally put a face to the voice/words when we met to take their engagement photos. We shot their pictures in and around various places in urban San Diego and Sunset Cliffs of Point Loma. A couple of days after that, we photographed their intimate wedding at Ponte Winery … we’ll be blogging those pictures soon too. Stay tuned : )

alison + will | modern engagement pictures

We were so excited to recently photograph Alison and Will’s engagement session. For their beach and urban shoot they totally brought it! Alison had such a great time shopping ahead of time for some terrific outfits, including a fabulous Betsey Johnson party dress in blue, our favorite color : ) We had a blast with them! To capture a little bit of the San Diego beach scene, we started in the Pacific Beach area to shoot under one of our favorite of San Diego’s many piers, Crystal Pier. After that, a jaunt to some colorful spots in the downtown San Diego area. We love the pictures … so colorful and so Alison and Will. Congratulations guys!! We’re super excited to be shooting your wedding later this year at the Robert Paine Scripps Forum in La Jolla.

lauren + colin | encinitas engagement photos

We LOVE engagement sessions, and Lauren and Colin’s session was no exception. We photographed their session in San Diego in an urban setting so that we could capture the couple’s modern style.

megan + brian | engagement photos

We had such a great time photographing Megan and Brian’s engagement session in a more natural, outdoor setting here in San Diego. We love the rustic feel and the beautiful light that certain times of day can create.
